1. Follow the step-by-step instructions I will immediately post. It might work easily or get a bit complicated and take some more time like in all tech stuff.

2. Use a ready made utilities that will do all the work for you like suggested in this site.

How to update your Wii Key – The “old fashion step-by-step way”

1. Download the official update on wiikey.cn

2. Open/extract the .rar document with winrar

3. Burn the update iso file that is appropriate to your consoles region with nero

4. Put the disk in your wii and follow the instructions.

5. Download the config 1.3 disk on wiikey.cn and again put it in the CD and allow full gc support.

6. You should have the most current settings of the wiikey!

Again, if it goes wrong in anyway and you fail to make a Wiikey update, go to this site, the recommended software will it all for you.

Good luck, please write me how it went.

This article is about “Should Online Gaming Services Be Free?”, we hope to bring more articles about “Wii Key Update” in the near future:

Online gaming has taken on a new life this generation. With Microsoft’s Xbox Live service, Sony’s PlayStation Network, and Nintendo’s Wii Marketplace, the current generation of gaming is enjoying benefits that were limited to PC gamers for so Long. Live is the oldest and most respected of the three online services for home consoles, but Sony’s PSN is making a name of its own. The main difference between these two, other than the PSN’s lack of a few key features, is the fact that Microsoft charges a monthly or annual fee to utilize the full capabilities of their online service, while Sony does not. Live is more polished and some argue that you get what you pay for, but the PSN has made great strides and is only a few steps away from matching Live. My question is should Sony start charging for their online services, or should Microsoft make theirs free?

There are several different elements to this argument, with the key argument being that Live is far superior. Most people who have a 360 and use Live say that because Microsoft charges for Live, it is a better service. While initially this may have been true, the PSN has done some great things over the past year, all while remaining a free service. The most wanted features the PSN lacks is cross game invites, cross game audio chat, and demos for every game available for download on the PSN store. These are all features that Live subscribers have enjoyed for some time now. No matter how important these extra features may be to each individual, any additional features are welcomed, especially when they are free.

Live had a four year head start on the PSN since Live started on the original Xbox console. The PSN was a brand new service that was first used on the PS3. With every update, Sony has worked hard to add features and stability to its service and today the PSN is miles ahead of where it was back in 2006. I myself do not believe that charging for the PSN would make it any better, nor do I believe that Microsoft’s choice to charge has made Live better. I do believe that Live is a better service because Microsoft had an idea of what they wanted to do with Live from the beginning while the PSN seemed to be created out of necessity. Live was more of an innovation and a new idea, built off of an older idea (SegaNet), but much better, and it made the whole online gaming aspect of console gaming change. I do not believe that Sony really knew what they wanted to do with the PSN initially until people started asking for certain features and accommodations.

With that being said, at this point I don’t think it would favor either company to change the way they are handling their online services. Sony should continue to provide the PSN for free and Microsoft should continue to charge for Live. What Microsoft could do is lower the price, but this would cut into their bottom line financially since Live subscribers contribute a great deal of revenue to Microsoft and its gaming division. With around 17 million subscribers to Live and 30 million 360’s sold. Raw math would assume that if all subscribers have a gold membership and not a silver membership, which is free, that Microsoft makes in excess of some $850,000,000 off of live subscriptions alone. That does not count sales of games and other media from the Live marketplace. That is a substantial number that Microsoft would like to see continue to increase year over year. That money can be used for many different things, even outside of Microsoft’s gaming division. When you look at those numbers you could say that Sony is hurting their own pockets by not charging at least a small fee for the PSN, but as I stated before, the PSN was not worth paying for early on, although some would have no problem paying for the services PS3 owners have now.

In the end, each company’s business model is different and each company has a different goal. One company’s weakness is the others strength, so there will always be differences on how each company handles their finances, marketing, game development and other aspects of their gaming business models. All in all, whatever your choice of online gaming community, they both have lots to offer. If Sony would just add those three key features I mentioned earlier, Live would have a run for its money and Sony may charge a small fee once the PSN is on par or relatively close to Live. I would not have a problem paying for the PSN like I do not see a problem paying for Live, but if I am going to pay for something I feel should be free, then it better be good.

This article is about “PS3 Xbox 360 Or Wii”, we hope to bring more articles about “Wii Key Update” in the near future:

Do you own a Ps3, Xbox 360 or a WII, what made you buy your console? Was it the technical specifications or did someone tell you theirs was so fantastic that you just had to join in the fun.

Now I am going to be honest with you, I own a Playstation 3 and I love it. So please excuse me if I’m ever so slightly biased but I will do my best to be fair. I have friends with the Xbox 360 and the Wii and they equally like there consoles but we all buy for different reasons.

As I just said I love my PS3 I love the way it looks, the way it handles music and movies and the way I can have a picture of my dog as my wallpaper on the screen. I am not an addicted gamer type, who cannot go a moment without playing. The reason I opted for the PS3 was more for its media capabilities and the upgradeability of the hard drive. The PS3 seemed more for the mature Gamer, who may have a family and want a multifunctional machine. I also liked the fact that right out the box the PS3 supported mouse and keyboard, this to me indicates that in the future the PS3 may be able to run my all time favourite RTS games with game play like its supposed to be played with a mouse and keyboard

With regard to the games I think They are fantastic , I’m currently playing through Ghost recon 2 Advanced war fighter the graphics are great the sound superb; but not that different from my friends Xbox 360 version. There has been a lot of hype about which console is the best for games and seeing both the PS3 and the 360 side by side at this point in time there’s not a lot in the mix to discriminate between them.

The 360 has just had an update that allows Xbox uses to use the windows live messenger network to communicate with friends and family on PC, Xbox 360 and via windows mobile devices. This can only be a good thing for the Xbox 360 community with its ability to connect the console to Windows media edition to share your movie , music and picture files also brings the Xbox 360 into the media centre for the home domain. I do feel that this is a good console but there have been many reports of the red ring of death and that they do suffer greatly from overheating problems.

Up to now, we have not mentioned the Wii, now this is a completely new breed of games machine, not focused on great graphics but on superb game play instead. Having owned a Game cube in the past, which was designed to be just a games console and nothing more Nintendo lost out in the first gen race. Now we have a new runner in the race called the Wii and boy its storming a head in the sales race. This little gem came from nowhere to be the top seller out of the next gen consoles but what has made in so popular?

Interaction’s the key to the success of the Wii with its superb motion sensing capabilities , interactive game play and a control system that is a master piece of inspired thinking. The Wii is just Fun in a box and great for all members of the family from your toddler to your gran I defy anyone not to be impressed by the Wii

I had my reasons to buy the PS3, it matched what I wanted in a game console, cost wise it was the most expensive. If I wanted a console just for gaming, I would have bought a Xbox 360 because of the price. I did consider the Wii before I purchased the PS3 I liked the interactivity a lot and thought my children would love it too. All in all I’m feeling no buyers regret in buying the PS3 but I must admit I am very tempted to buy A Wii to go with my PS3 I think they would look great side by side. Now to convince the wife of the benefits of yet another games machine in the house.

This article is about “Removing Viruses and Malware From My PC”, we hope to bring more articles about “Wii Key Update” in the near future:

Is your PC running slow or doing strange things, then you may well have been infected by a virus or malware infestation.

First of all you need to install an antivirus and malware program that works. There are lots of free ones out there. However the free versions only have limited functionality. For effective support it is best to purchase a known working software that will do the job.

One popular antivirus program that I like is Micro Anti Virus. It is not free but I suggest if you want to have full protection that works in the long run it is worth buying a product that will work. You also need to install anti malware software that will detect malware infestations on your computer that can cause just as many problems as a virus.

When you have installed your software you must ensure that the definitions are up to date. New viruses and malware are born daily so you need to update daily as well or simply enable the auto update feature. Schedule a daily scan of the pc for full protection. Also you need to keep windows up to date. Ensure that windows auto update is enabled and check to see that it is actually up to date. Check to see if you have the latest windows patches.

If your software detects a virus or malware your software usually can remove it for you into quarantine. Sometimes however the infection cannot be removed by the program. Firstly I would suggest doing a Google search by using the virus name to search for a removal tool or solution.

Another way to remove a virus or malware is to boot your pc into safe mode. This means that only basic programs and drivers will be loaded when windows boots which means the actual virus will not be active or hide when you are running a scan.

To run your PC in safe mode in windows XP and Vista simply tap the F8 key as you turn the machine on. You will see a menu of boot options from which you choose safe mode. Now run both your antivirus scan and anti malware scans if you know that they are up to date and this will allow the programs to do their thing.

Starting and “booting up”. Vintage computers and electronic technology. You may have purchased a “vintage computer system” at a local garage sale. One schmendrick even found what he thought were four “valuable computers “in the garbage behind his house. He thought that he had come across the venerable “pot of gold”. Sad to say that even relatively modern Pentium 3’s that given enough throw away ram can actually run Windows XP and certainly Windows 2000 or 98 era technology are now considered only worthwhile as door stoppers or boat anchors. Yet you may well want to turn on and run that older vintage computer either just for the fun or it , to run older vintage computer and arcade type games or just because at the time you always wanted such a setup , your brother or neighbor had a powerful 386 or 486 pre Pentium vintage computer. It was something you always wanted, yet could never consider. Voila here it is in your hands, or trunk of your car. How do you set it up and turn it on.

First of all it is a standard setup as today’s more modern technologically advanced units. Unpack the devices you have. Attach a monitor – even a new LCD screen if the setup did not come with the older CRT cathode ray tube bulky monitor. Your computer may take relatively standard keyboard and a mouse. If the keyboard port on the back of your computer has a larger port than your current computer – you will need either an “AT” adapter or a relatively rarer AT keyboard with that larger port connection. If you have a standard PS/2 round port for the mouse, good. If not you may require what is called a “serial mouse” or a “PS/2 to serial mouse converter” so that you can use your current standard mouse. Hopefully the computer package you purchased, found or were given comes complete.

Now that the setup is complete plug in a standard computer power cord press in the switch and hopefully you are off to the races.

The computer should boot up. You should see an entry screen or set of screens with lettering. Voila you may see an older version of windows pop up or at the least what is called a prompt or “dos prompt”. The evolution of the personal computer PC software technologies was from simple text based DOS (Disc Operating System) which formed the profitable basis of Microsoft’s empire , to the early version of the Graphic User Interface -point to pictures on the screen with your mouse , Windows. The first well accepted in the popular mainstream version of Windows that became most well accepted was Windows 3.1, although it was first introduced before an update as Windows 3.0. Unlike current versions of Windows which are one integral package, the earlier versions of Microsoft Windows were a separate program, a shell, which sat on top of the working DOS program. This is essence is very similar to what current versions of the Linux operating system are set up. With a basic operating system having a GUI Graphic User Interface running separately on top of the base stand alone system. It’s not that primitive if you think of Linux’s use of the setup. It is akin to having more control of your vehicle with a manual transmission as opposed to an all inclusive automatic transmission on your car.

Now that you are your dos prompt you should see a: (colon following) or better yet c. (colon). Type the phrase “win” (without the quotation marks), and hit the enter key. If Windows 3 or version 3.1 is installed on your powerful setup, that version of Microsoft Windows may well start up. If you are at the a: prompt type c: (colon), hit the enter key and you should be at the c prompt. If you still have no result type autoexec or autoexec.bat. At the worst the computer should start up or reboot.

Its all about fun and enjoyment of technology and technologies. Think of what that bunch of electronics cost in its day. Perhaps its time to move on to newer CPUs, large (huge) hard drives or even sophisticated specialized gaming systems be it the Wii, PS3 or Xbox360. Still it’s a lot of fun to play around with the old stuff.

Xbox e74 error is a very common problem. When you don’t have any technical skills, fixing this Xbox 360 error can be very frustrating. In an official Microsoft announcement in July 2008, Microsoft admitted that 25% of all consoles sold are encountering this problem and the rest have a chance of failure.

- Close to 2 million gamer are dealing with this error all around the world

- The first 12 million consoles sold had “a design flaw that could cause the xbox e74 problem. In order to accommodate the DVD drive, they made the LSI heat sink ( which keeps the system cool ) smaller. Now, after long period of gaming, your xbox can reach inner temperatures of over 120 degrees Fahrenheit

- Your console will scratch the disc if you move your system while its on ( this is not mentioned in the warranty )

- The fall 2006 update caused some consoles to encounter the Xbox e74 error

- Retailers reported failure rates of 40%

- To fix the Xbox e74 error, you don’t need new parts. this problem can be fixed at home within 2 hours.

How to fix the e74 error ?

As mentioned above, The main cause of the Xbox e74 error is actually overheating. The soldering holding the graphics processing unit in place get melted and your console starts showing the Xbox e74 error which won’t go away until you fix it.

So, the key to fix your machine is dealing with the overheating. the best e74 repair method is to fix the problem yourself. Just a little tweak is all you will need. A professional Xbox 360 repair guide will show you everything step by step. For best results, you will want to get a guide that has detailed video instructions which can assist you through the process.

Xbox repair guides are fairly cheap, and they save you over $140 (Microsoft charges $140 to perform the fix and it can take up 8 to 10 weeks to get it back). Once you fix it correctly, you will no longer experience the Xbox e74 error and you’ll be gaming again within 2 hours.

The Nintendo Wii has been around for a couple of years now. During this time a number of services have appeared online that claim to offer free wii games for download.

With the commencement of 2008 we are now beginning to see services emerge that offer entire libraries and collections of games – direct for download by the home user.

It was not long ago that I was down at the local Circuit City store picking up a couple of games for my Wii. The total cost of these games came to almost $200 (almost the cost of the console all over again) just in order to update my games collection.

There now are many more affordable and convenient options available, some that even claim to offer free wii games.

But do free console games really exist? Or is this claim another internet myth and fantasy?

Of all the various services online, a fixed price download service generally offers you best value for money.

When selecting your wii download service there are many many options to choose from. One feature that the best online wii games services will offer is 24/7 support with the ability to download as many wii games as you like for a one time initial fee. This support service is an invaluable tool for the beginner user.

A service such as Wii Media Downloads will give you both the support and tools to get these Wii Games onto your system. Finding the a safe a reputable service really is the key to downloading Wii Games online. Whilst there are technically not free wii games services online, for a fixed price of around $50 games, this works out to be literally a few dollars.

Finding a reputable service that you can use and the often needed support to assist on getting your hands on the very latest games.

This article is about “Bully Scholarship Edition Wii”, we hope to bring more articles about “Wii Key Update” in the near future:

If it was simple and no less legitimate than merely an update of the Canis Canem’s test, the differences with Bully Scholarship Edition would be minimal, the choice was made to opt for a new text. The changeover to the new generation of hardware is therefore based on a hard portage, boosted by a few additions that will be detailed later in this review. You always play Jimmy Hopkins, a brat allergic to parental authority at the student propelled Bullworth Academy, a private school in New England headed by a stepfather he obviously does not like. The 15 years old, Jimmy has a school history full of failed experiments in a half-dozen schools. The sullen look, the threaded sleeve without any care, fists closed, the young man landed in the courtyard of his fellows, with a status of small terror. Hair cut like a prisoner in the penitentiary, he will have to take his reputation and a pact here and there with groups of rebels with ideologies well soaked. Jimmy cannot give pleasure to everyone. We will worship him or hate him… or both during the game.

Bully takes place in a single geographically well organized town. The proximity between the school and the city allows to move from the austerity of the school complex to the variety of a small town full of charm. Although the clipping (sometimes coarse and drops framerate on certain machines) is a weak spot, as well as the cinematics, the good use of the game engine and forward modeling summary of faces is impressively detailed.

Bully gameplay is nothing new. It just alternates between phases of fights where you stick the same key, they travel by bike or skate and including mini-games fairly well thought out and particularly simplistic. One appreciates the opportunity to interact with anyone, be it students, pawns or bystanders. The freedom given to the player is in that salvation, the possibilities never turn in circles. Just will we pester against load times at each entrance and exit of a building.

To see the end of Bully, complete all missions and unlock all that may be. The player can count on a good thirty hours on your Wii. More than enough. Even if a certain repetitiveness tends to settle. However, history can keep us in suspense and advance the importance and reputation of Jimmy over time. Add to that a cooperative mode that allows you to redo the mini-games unlocked during the course. With songs appropriate for each stage of the game, the soundtrack tends to repeat itself tirelessly. But the excellent dubbing (in English), respect the pace of the action and the funny side of some cut-scenes.

It gets very quickly into the stereotypes and caricatures of characters and social classes, but most situations are full of truth. Jimmy is an incredibly endearing that you’ll take pleasure in seeing change in a hostile climate. These paradoxes remain between his strong personality and his side liberty imposed by the genre.

Bully Scholarship Wii Edition uses the genre with panache and skill, giving us the impression of change with the nephew of one of the characters of GTA. Wild coarse language and violence come to stay light through real exploitation of the personality of the many characters Jimmy meets throughout the adventure. It was thus intensive and will delight fans of the work by Rockstar. The developer has kept his leg, sometimes awkward indeed, but without the temperature.

Some months ago I wrote the first article about the release of 3 different Nintendo Wii Mod Chips. Being a homebrew fan myself, it was hard to hide my enthusiasm when it came to these Wii mod chips simply because I have been a fan of homebrew games – and more importantly import games, since the days of the good old Nintendo Entertainment system. While it took only a little bit of cutting with an exacto knife back then to play the latest Japanese games on my North American Nintendo Entertainment system, I’ve pretty much done whatever I needed to do to be able to play those games. Including installing a mod chip in virtually every game system that needed one since then.

I am not into pirating games at all (having unauthorized copies of games that I don’t own) as it takes away from the developers that invest time, money, and a whole slew of blood, sweat and tears into making these amazing games. I say this only because the modchips I am about to talk about also allow you to play copies or backups of your Nintendo Wii games – but I am not at all talking about them for this reason, nor will I be able to respond to any questions about this – simply because I wouldn’t know what to tell my readers anyway.

In my last Wii Mod Chip Article, I covered three different Nintendo Wii Mod Chips. These included the first ever Wii chip to be released, the Wiinja chip, as well as the Wiikey and the Cyclowiz modchips for the Wii. I won’t go into the details and features of these three Wii chips, as my previous Nintendo Wii ModChips Article covered all of their features and functions. I’ll instead focus on the newer chips that have just been released.

Before I continue with the rest of the article, I think that it is important for me to say that first and foremost, these are my opinions, and my opinions only. While I prefer to use, or have a chip that I find to be the best all around chip, both for features, functions and price, it does not, by any means mean that you should go with my own personal favorites. I state that I like one chip over another because I am lucky enough to be able to test each new chip as it is released. I’m able to compare the features, the functions, the ease of installation, but it is again, only my opinion. Opinions vary from person to person.

I’ll start with my new personal favorite, the WiiC wii mod chip. The features of the WiiC wii mod chip, also called the Wi-IC are very similar to those of the other Nintendo Wii Mod chips on the market today. But what makes the WiiC stand out is the fact that rather than just updating setup settings via a DVD update disc, you are actually able to update and upgrade the built in bios on the WiiC itself. While this may seem trivial, it is a HUGE leap forward as far as support for any type of mod chip. Just imagine new games coming out that don’t work with a specific mod. Other mod chips will allow you to settings only. Which means you can set your Wii to think it’s a Japanese Wii instead of a Nintendo Wii purchased here in the USA. With the WiiC wii mod chip, you’ll actually be able to re-program the chip itself, so that should a game NOT be compatible, you’ll be able to update the chip to make even that NEW game compatible.

Keeping the theme of updates. You can easily update a mod chip, even just settings, and end up with a dead chip. The WiiC actually has a built in failsafe for this. A built in sort of DEFAULT option, that will reset the chip and put it back to the state it was in prior to the update. Making it appear as if no update was ever done to the chip, so that you could start again from scratch. And if you’re worried about whether or not an installation you did works, it also has built in multi function LED’s which will give you an install diagnostic and status, to ensure that your installation worked perfectly, as it should have. And if not, you can check all of your installation / wiring before spending all of the time to put your Nintendo Wii back together again. There are currently no other chips on the market that have all of these features. Of course, it’ll play all of your import and backup games, as well as Gamecube import and homebrew games, etc… Not bad for a chip that costs less than $30.00

The second, and last mod chip in this article will cover another new chip to the Nintendo Wii Mod chip market. WiiD wii drive chip, from Team WiiD. Most online stores call this chip a wii mod chip for advanced users. I can only assume that this statement is made because of all of the advanced features that are touted by the manufacturers to be coming soon. Being first to market has tremendous advantages, especially in the video game related products category. Be the product a controller, or, as in this case, a modchip. But being first to market also means that you could potentially release something a big too early, and have it not work with every type of machine that is on the market, or yet to come. While the WiiD manufacturers had the technology ready to produce their mod chip, they decided to wait and release it after thoroughly testing it with every single type of Wii console on the market.

The WiiD is a fully featured Nintendo Wii mod chip. Allowing you to quickly and easily play all of your import and backup Gamecube and Nintendo Wii Games, as well as Gamecube Homebrew games right out of the box. It’s extremely easy to install, easy to upgrade, compatible with every single Wii console system on the market today. What makes this mod chip really stand out is the ability to either use the quick solder pads found on the chip, like many Wii Mod chips. But you can also use wires just as easily as using the quick solder pads, thanks to the pre set solder points right on the WiiD chip, making wired install just as easy, without having to solder to the quick solder pads.

Find out which mod chip better suits your personal skill level. Choosing the right chip depends mainly on your skill level and what you anticiapte you would like to do once the modchip is installed into your Nintendo Wii.

This article is about “Nintendo Wii Mod Chip A Review And Comparison Of Wii Modchips”, we hope to bring more articles about “Wii Key Update” in the near future:

The Nintendo Wii has just barely hit retail stores, and already the homebrew scene is fast at work. Creating not only killer applications and homebrew games, but also developing (or at least helping develop) the worlds first Nintendo Wii mod chip(s). In this article I am going to discuss Nintendo Wii Mod Chips and give some of the features, pros and cons of the 3 different Nintendo Wii Mod Chips that have just recently been released.

The good news for Nintendo Wii gamers is that regardless of which Nintendo Wii mod chip you buy – you’ll have all the basics with each one. You will be able to play all Nintendo Wii Backup games (on DVD-R or DVD+R discs) and can use 8cm or 12cm DVD discs. You will also be able to play all Gamecube Backup games, import games as well as Gamecube Homebrew games. It really gets down to installation of the Nintendo Wii Mod chip and the features and functions, and future upgrade options of each Wii mod chip.

What is even more surprising with these new Nintendo Wii Mod chips is the prices that they’re being sold for. I remember quite clearly the days of the very first Playstation 2 mod chips, costing in excess of $90.00 US Dollars. It seems the Wii chips have opted instead for a lower entry price, in an effort to gain a greater piece of the Homebrew / Development / Modchip market. The prices range anywhere from $44.00 to just over $50.00, depending on the chip you decide to buy.

At present, there are actually 3 different Nintendo Wii Mod chips which will hit the market and online stores within the next week or so. While many online news sources seem to focus on just 2 of the 3 mod chips, perhaps because they’re unaware that there is a third chip in the making, I’m going to cover all 3 of the mod chips in the hopes of enabling you, the gamer, to make the buying decision that’s right for you. And after reading this article, I honestly believe that your decision will be based solely on price, and perhaps the option of an upgrade (or lack of) for the Wii Mod Chips.

Wiinja Nintendo Wii Mod Chip

The Wiinja Nintendo Wii Mod chip was actually the very first Wii chip to hit the market. While many online news sources seem to disregard this chip, it is still the very first and one of the easiest mod chips to install for the Nintendo Wii. Like the other mod chips for the Wii, the Wiinja will enable you to play all Wii and Gamecube Backup games, as well as Wii Import backup games, and original import games with just a single swap. Gamecube Import and Homebrew games are fully supported. While the other mod chips promise that their modchips, in time, will have their own custom OS to enable additional features, the Wiinja chip does not make this claim. In fact, they have stated that their chip is not meant to be upgraded. Stealth mode is still built in, even into this mod chip, and whether or not the lack of an upgrade feature is a deterrent is entirely up to you, the user. Often times many modchip manufacturers claim upgrade features, but then they lack the support for the upgrades, which tend to come out very rarely, if ever at all.

WiiKey Nintendo Wii Modchip

The manufacturer hype states the following: Unlock your Nintendo Wii with the worlds first truly upgradeable Nintendo Wii Mod Chip. The WiiKey for Nintendo Wii is made by the famous xenoGC team, responsible for the xenoGC Gamecube line of mod chips, and now, with their WiiKey, Wii owners can enjoy all the benefits of a team of great developers with a truly upgradeable Nintendo Wii Mod chip. The WiiKey comes ready to use, and offers an almost wireless installation. When they say almost wireless, what this essentially means is that there are Quick Solder pads for the chip. This method enables you, the gamer, to simply position the chip in the correct place on the Mother board of the Wii, in order to then apply a little bit of solder with a soldering iron. The WiiKey chip does however also require that you solder 4 wires to the specified places on the Wii motherboard. The WiiKey mod chip was the first chip that boasted full upgradeability through DVD-R discs to which you can burn / backup the new firmware updates, put The DVD in to your Nintendo Wii, and it will run and update the chip. Once again, the WiiKey also supports loading of both Wii and Gamecube backup games and import backup games. Original import games can be played as well, with a simple, single swap methos. Gamecube Homebrew games are also supported. Whether or not this mod chip will end up with it’s own custom OS is something we’ll just have to take a wait and see approach with. However, it offers everything you want, for a VERY reasonable price.

And finally, the last Nintendo Wii mod chip (often claimed to be the very FIRST Nintendo Wii Modchip) is the only chip in this round up that actually does not require any wires at all.

CycloWiz Nintendo Wii Mod Chips

The major advatange, or selling feature of the CycloWiz Nintendo Wii mod chip is in how it’s installed. Unlike the other 2 mod chips in this round up, the CycloWiz actually does not require you to solder any wires to the Wii mainboard. In fact, much like the WiiKey, you’ll simply use Quick Solder pads which are strategically placed in the design of the CycloWiz to enable you to simply position the chip on the Nintendo Wii Mainboard, and gently put some solder onto the points. This will make the required connections, and the chip will simply be installed, with absolutely no need figure out where wires are to be soldered or whether or not you’ve got the right type of wires, etc… The CycloWiz is also a fully upgradeable modchip, with promised firmware updates for the chip from the manufacturer. Again, I want to stress that firmware updates may not at all be required and perhaps may not come for some time. I myself do however like the idea that the chip will not be outdated should some new function or requirement become the norm.

To sum it all up, all of the Nintendo Wii Mod chips boast the features below. The only exception to this is the upgrade feature which is NOT available on the Wiinja chip. Take a look at the features, and decide for yourself which Wii mod Chip is right for you.

Fully upgradeable via DVD/disc (future proof, expect cool features to come)

Direct boot of Wii backups (like originals)

Direct boot of GC backups (like originals)

Boots different region GC games/backups

Boots different NTSC region Wii games/backups

Supports DVD-R and DVD+R

Built-in audio fix (for games using streaming audio)

Works in all Nintendo Wii consoles World Wide – USA, Pal and Japanese versions!

Now it’s up to you to decide which Nintendo Wii mod Chip is right for you.
